These events are fun Ed ... the first event we ever did as a group was a Fly - In to Kapalua very similar in structure to this event.

Where we were putting up mostly with FSHost connections, back...

An excellent match Red .... obvious burp on 17 or we could be doing playoff holes into next week ... Great game!

So we wind up with one group in TW 06 and one in TW 07 ....

TW 06 RedGreen and salt_air

TW 07 LJ922, N180GS and sandman ...

Currently enroute cruising the Civil Airways of yesteryear in a fully restored Ford Trimotor that will be delivered to Florida Airways in Tampa, Fl after the event.

Due in to FD48 around 1630Z ......

In order to sort out any connection issues and to begin the assignment of foursomes I will be on the TS 3 server well before we dash to the clubhouse for the golf match .... say 1700 Z or earlier.

When this forum was setup ten years ago...

A couple of things here Ed ....



First:

Flying helos is infinitely easier in FSX .... if you have the Acceleration Pack loaded up try the Agusta or the Robinson.

Yeah I was trying to find the road and couldn't .... blamed it on the beer .... good to hear it wasn't :p

A chopper or the Air Creation Trike would work.

Is the landing area or target area...

FS9 or FSX which ever suits and default or payware of your choice .... remember folks can not see you as...

There's a slight obstacle for the dedicated FSX users in that the prescribed FD48 scenery file doesn't work in your sim.

Our friend Ed Cox has whipped up a quick and dirty alternate scenery file...

Ah Ha .... betcha it's has a Kapalua bumper sticker, huh?

Also as in the past there will be a running test match setup the day before to test your ability to connect.

Best to get those issues resolved way ahead of time as it's always a zoo trying to get...

I think there's time to sneak in a TW event next month .... it's been a little while and several of us really enjoy the TW 06 and TW 07 PGA Tour Fly-ins.

So we'll shoot (that's pretty funny) for...

A good time was had by all .... the hosting was the easy part.

We greatly appreciate your time and effort putting together a great event and the pilots from DCA could not have been better company....
