  1. Looks good to me. I am using your v3.9 edits and your Reshade preset plus a few of my own tweaks. It looks marvelous.
  2. @IamAstroNerd The answers you got to this question over on the org are valid. I have never heard of a successful MSFS to XP12 conversion. I can't see spending the time as the entire code would need revamping, after you gain the rights.
  3. I can't argue with any of that. I am a happy user but I'm not a real pilot and have no hopes of affording a ticket at all. XP12 fits my needs better than any sim I've used in the past, from FS4 to FS2020, and XP9 and up. YMMV of course. I look at it as a hobby and I like to solve problems. I have not had much luck duplicating all the problems I've seen people having, so I keep quiet usually and just watch. XP12 and my system get along fine, with a little tweaking and goading here and there.
  4. @flytv1 The new patch works for me so far, and I haven't noticed any funky stuff from my scripts. I wonder of XP Pro suffers from the problems you are reporting. I am sorry you aren't pleased with the progress. Please file problem reports on the problems that you can duplicate. I imagine Phillip and the bunch of pilots could use your abundant knowledge of the C172 flight model to make XP the best thing going. Here's the link: https://www.x-plane.com/x-plane-bug-report-form/ Easy to fill out and you usually get a response that they've received it. I admit I don't save flights anymore, as they have never worked correctly for me. It is easy enough to just start a new flight each session. I use FSE and it remembers where I landed each time, I just need to change the parking spot on the next flight. I actually think I'm getting 1 to 2 FPS more now, but I have no data to prove it, just a feeling at my test airport (KLAX RWY 6 @ noon on July 1, all scenery and plugins running).
  5. Hi @joaopaz, I was happy with FSX but got X-Plane 9 long ago and did the compares and all that. Meh. FSX was my favorite. Then XP11 came along. FSX sort of just went by the wayside for me, I ended up giving a box of disks to Goodwill that included FSX, FS9 and tons of addons. I felt bad about it at the time, but now I am with XP12 and I don't look back. The experience was well worth it. Joao, be careful. The XP bug may bite you too.
  6. Hi @flytv1 Sorry to hear of your disappointment. I am having good luck with the latest beta, v12.06b7. I think it would be good to remember that our job (as simmers using XP12) is to report the bugs on their website. I have put the link below in case you need it. It is easy to file a report but don't wait around for the fix. Your knowledge of the C172 flight characteristics may be valuable to LR, you never know. I use FWL scripts to modify the art here too, and I get occasional crashes out of the blue that say the art has been modified. It has been my experience that using Zink with plugins, or scripts modifying art, are the only two types of crashes I see on my system. I have stripped my scripts to stop changing environment variables except for fiddling the MSAA discrete. I use several plugins (some old with data ref issues) and SimHeaven + AutoOrtho. Pretty stable here. https://www.x-plane.com/x-plane-bug-report-form/
  7. @polishman I'm glad it worked for you too. I have had zero issues since I did that mod. I love this thing. I have mine tuned per plane and have complete control, even when the turbulence is rough.
  8. You can rid yourself of the problem altogether this way too. I didn't see the hall effect mod shown above before I followed this video.
  9. You have to use the same value of potentiometer when you replace it. No exceptions unless you are engineering something special. If you have an electronics store nearby, they might have some pots available, but in my experience, you won't find what you need. You might go back to Saitek/Logitech to ask for parts. Or you might have to go online to find it. When you get into it, write down any numbers that may be on the pot. I would guess it is a fairly common resistance value. Mouser Electronics or Digi-key are some places you might find exact replacements.
  10. A used yoke could have old dry pots. You know how to clean potentiometers inside the yoke, but can you replace them? If not, find someone who can and that's probably all it needs. You can also go a lot further with mods to replace the pots with a digital output circuit board, but I won't get into it here.
