Has anyone used FSX on Windows 11 yet?

I recently came back to FS world as old machine went up in flames. I have loaded FSX + Acceleration and all works fine apart from the issue of not being able to authenticate so only have 30 mins a go each time. Walk and follow did not work neither did AI carriers. I have the MSFS 2020 and im impressed but I want my FSX back :D. Would I be correct in thinking the only way is to buy a new copy (This time steam edition)?
