  1. BTW, your interest in Philippine AI traffic is interesting to me, as I lived in Tacloban 2009-2013 and then in Cebu until 2015, when my wife and I moved to Germany. I have seen those Xian MA-60's from Zest Airlines that you had in a screenshot in Manila, taking off from RWY 13/31, but never saw those in Tacloban or Cebu. Jorgen
  2. This here is a complete guide (well, more or less) to getting a handle on odd FS9 AI flight plans that disrupt FSX and P3D AI traffic. The first, and most important part, is that AI traffic files should be stored in the \Scenery\World\Scenery folder of your particular simulator. Traffic compilers, such as AIFP, do this by default. WoAI also by default puts the files there. I said should earlier, because some scenery developers actually place their AI traffic files in the \Scenery folder of their scenery. The simulator will pick up the AI traffic from there, but it can be a pain to find those files there. Personally, when I install new scenery I take a look in the \Scenery folder, just in case a traffic files is hiding there, and if there is one, just remove it from there and recompile it with AIFP so it goes into the correct location and I'm sure there are no anomalies in it. The second, and almost as important part, is that any FS9 traffic file or files, in any location within the reach of the simulator, even if there is only one, will cause any and all FSX or P3D traffic files to switch to FS9 mode and then become invisible to FSX or P3D. So, if in spite of all your precautions etc some FS9 file has slipped through and you can't seem to locate it, here's what you can do: 1. Get AIFP from here: https://www.owlsnest.eu/donuser.php 2. Run AIFP and make sure (if you have more than one simulator installed) the radio button on the left side of the AIFP panel is pointing to the simulator you want. 3. Select the drop-down menu item "Bulk Traffic" and from the dropdwon "Convert FS9 Traffic Files To FSX". 4. A new panel will appear, here you can select to scan the whole drive were you simulator is installed, or you can go down to folder level if desired. Now, very important, at the bottom of this panel, make sure the checkbox "Delete FS9 files after conversion" is checked! If that box is unchecked, the FS9 files will remain and you still have the problem. 5. Let AIFP run... And that should be it!   3. I can confirm that the trafficAircraft.bgl is the default AI aircraft traffic file for FSX:SE that comes from the original FSX. Like I said before, I personally would delete that one, but do keep trafficBoats.bgl and trafficCarriers.bgl - that way you'll have some ships sailing around on the water, and maybe you can even practice aircraft carrier landings.   4. The file trafficAircraft.bgl, I believe, has nothing to do with either WoAI or other traffic files compiled with AIFP. I am pretty certain, but will make sure sometime later today, that this is the default traffic file that comes with FSX:SE. If it is, then I would just remove it, as it is a left-over from the time that Microsoft created FSX, and as such has no resemblance whatsoever to "real" traffic, aircraft-wise. Stay tuned - Jorgen
  5. Our resident C/UH-46 flyer is correct. Those objects may work even in 64-bit P3D, but the scenery will need converting, and even then it may not work. Jorgen

  7. As I know it, there are no problems using FS9 models in FSX. That only becomes a problem with P3D. But I do agree with your final conclusion - this scenery may pose too many problems. Jorgen

  9. I remember when I had WoAI myself, that some compiled by the WoAI installer in the FSX format, and some in the FS9 format. I would urge you to use AIFP to check that ALL are in FSX format, and to recompile if necessary. Jorgen
  10. Are all your AI flight plans in FSX format? All of them need to be, if only one is in FS9 format, all of them will run is FS9 "mode". You can use AIFP to re-compile all of the plans to the FSX format, easy to do and does not take long. Jorgen
  11. In the top screenshot, it looks to me like there is a reference to your A: drive in the "resource path". Very few computers these days have an A: drive - a floppy disk drive. Do you have one? Jorgen

That has saved my bacon a lot of times. And DX 12 does not mean a thing to FSX, no matter what FSX version it is. FSX wants (needs, demands) DX 9c, so the first thing you might want to do is to get the DirectX Redistributables from Microsoft and install those. Another thing might be ALL versions, both x64 and x86, of C++, and while you're at it, also ALL versions of the .NET Framework, also both x64 and x86. The reason why you also want the x86 versions is that FSX is an x86 application. Let us know how it goes - Jorgen
  13. These days, with the old FSX versions dying out, I would urge people to install the Steam version. It is basically Acceleration with the known bug fixes applied, and there are no copyright restrictions, so you can install it on multiple computers (of your own, of course). The only drawback that I see is the install path that Steam uses... Jorgen
  14. Here's your problem: Exception code: 0xc0000005 This means that "something" attempted to write to an area of RAM where it had no access rights. But, unfortunately, there is nothing to show what this "something" is. In only one case of this that I have seen has it been not a badly programmed or incompatible add-on of some sort, the one exception being a very exotic instance in P3D v. 6. Jorgen
