  1. Has anyone tried the community panel software. It looks like this software will allow you to use/create overhead panels for some airlines. This is something that has been missing for a very long time, and I have a 27" monitor overhead that does not have anything on it. Would love to have a overhead panel for some of the big birds. https://siminnovations.com/community-panels Any thoughts would be appreciated. Hobbitrocks
  2. Will this new simulation system have a overhead panel that can be detached to another monitor. This has always been one of my biggest complaints about 2020. I have a multiple monitor simulation that looked great in 2004 version. Really miss the overhead panel on the 2020. If they do have this, why don't they introduce this function to the 2020. We have been Guinee Pigs on the 2020, went through thick and thin, along with many updates.....and still there are some issues - I have a hard time spending more money on this newest simulation system - and start all over again with the updates and all the problems we had with the original 2020. hobbitrocks
  3. I have been flying in the simulation world for a while. (15 years at least) and now all of a sudden when I am landing (737-max) I come in low and slow but when I touch the runway I bounce....then I come down again, and bounce even higher....then I crash. Any idea's on what I am doing wrong all of a sudden? hobbitrocks
  4. It seems to me that every aircraft that I fly has a bug in the Auto-pilot controls. I can get the altitude to hole, maybe the aircraft speed, and maybe the heading - but I have not one aircraft that all three work. For a long time one of the Citations did work - all three at the same time....but after the last one or two updates happened, nothing works complete. Computer specs Intell@core i-7 -107000, 8-core 3.8GHz turbo, NVIDIA GeForce RTX2070 8GB, 16 GBDDR4 -3000MHz memory, 480GB solid state drive, 1TB SATA III hard drive, Windows 10. Using 17 goflight modules, CH yoke and pedals, 49” monitor, 2-19” monitors and one 27” for a over head panel…if ever we get a over head panel that will detach and move. The Goflight modules overall are work as designed.
  5. just to say, I have one video card with 4 monitor outputs. I am using a 49" curved monitor for main screen. 2- 17" for lower MFD a ne 1 - 27" overhead for upper controls (If ever they make a detachable upper quadrant). But over all, it works pretty well Hobbitrocks
  6. i found that in some of the air craft on one of the MFD displays, the one I will call flight management control, you can go to lighting, and slide the slide bar all the way up....and the display will light up. It seems to over ride the light controls, making all displays brighter. The button says Lights, or maybe aircraft settings....I am not on my sim right now, I am doing the big ass download....so I can not tell you exactly. this is not true on all aircraft, because some of the aircraft are fine. I have used this on the business jets, citations things like that.
  7. I am using 1 - samsung 49" curved monitor for main screen. I am using a 27" for my over head panels....which do not exist at this time and also 2 - 17" for my cock pit MFD"s I am running around 17FPM with all monitors up and running. I also am using 17 go flight modules. Computer specs Intell@core i-7 -107000, 8-core 3.8GHz turbo, NVIDIA GeForce RTX2070 8GB, 16 GBDDR4 -3000MHz memory, 480GB solid state drive, 1TB SATA III hard drive, Windows 10. 8. my machine started running badly, frames rates down low, and then it would shut down. Finnally figured out that my water cooler on the processor was bad. Ordered a new radiator and fan, and running very well. I had noticed a slight drop in performace as the original water cooler was failing (That is my guess) but when I changed it....it is running 39+40 temps when in flight. Hobbitrocks
  9. I use the GoFlight software 2.8 or something like that. It is their newest software....years old, and designed for FSX. You have to have FSX installed, you have to program all the controls for GoFlight modules. I do not have the MCPRO or GF-EFIS, but I do have a total of 17 go flight modules. Throttle, landing gear,8 push button, 8 switch, rotary dials, radio's , Nav beacons and so forth. Once you program all the GoFlight modules and safe then close software. Now start MSFS and load the flight all the way to the runway. You need to go into the GoFlight folder on your main hard drive and click on the GFDEVFSXSE icon and everything will light up, and most controls will work flawlessly. I believe when you install FSX, if it is not already on your computer, you have to install the update that was released afterwards....too long ago, and I was lucky that FSX was on my flight sim computer, so I did not have to reinstall. There is some additional information on this forum, maybe someone can fill in the blanks. Hobbitrocks
  10. Not much into fighter jet but thought I would take it for a spin. I have to ask, what is the large white spot in the middle of my view. At first I thought it said GOOG is some form, but it really is not letters, it is just a emblem in the middle of my HUD Any thoughts on this? Hobbitrocks
  11. your machine is very similar to mine. I am using a Nvidia 2070 video card with 4 display ports. Using all 4 ports, with two 17" monitors, 27" monitor and a Samsung 49" curved monitor. I have just about every setting at ULTRA, and I am getting decent FPS -20-30 at low alt and 40FPS up high where the heavens are. There are definitely better cards today, mine is about 18 months old. If it ain't broke, why replace it. Hobbitrocks
  12. I did find the culprit. After chasing game issues that didn't exist, and then I reloaded the sim....165gig over 6hrs, I figured out that my water cooled CPU was overheating. When I did a reboot, I got a warning. It appears that Windows 10 does not have a CPU monitor in the software (at least not temp reading) so I only got it in bios during startup. Bought new water cooler radiator and cooler....I am running like a champ. 30-40C during low flying, high graphics. Just keep in mind, it is not always the MSFS software. Many times I have seen people complain about MSFS and then you look at the specs....that is the problem. OR the CPU is over heating....:) hobbitrocks
  13. When you do a new installation do the inputs on my keyboard and flight stick - do they all carry over to the new installation. Or do I have to re do all assignments? Hobbitrocks
  14. My sim has always ran very smooth and never no problems. Just in the last few days I am loading software very slowly, and then when I pick a flight, I am stuttering, sound is choppy, and a airplane is lagging behind my imputs. Can not even get off the ground. It is Sunday morning, finally had a day for flight time and I am spending over 4 hours trying to figure this out. I undated Video Card, and checked sound drivers....they are all up to date. Any suggestions? Is Steam having problems today? or lately. Really could use some help if possible. specs Intell@core i-7 -107000, 8-core 3.8GHz turbo, NVIDIA GeForce RTX2070 8GB, 16 GBDDR4 -3000MHz memory, 480GB solid state drive, 1TB SATA III hard drive, Windows 10. 15. I ended up buying this aircraft. It is my first purchase since having MSFS. I only did it because my brother in law works for Honda. He was so proud that their jet was being introduced to MSFS. My first thought on this air craft, there are many problems. Auto Pilot does not work, you have to have flight sim set as Modern or it will flip over on the runway when you hit 60mph. (if set at legacy). I was banking the plane after take off and it stressed and crashed according to my flight sim. When you detach the different MFD's from cockpit to move to additional monitors, not all of the display moves to screen. This is my first attempt to get the plane into the air. After second attempt, I made a short flight and landed VFR only Did not try the IFR landing system as of yet. Hobbitrocks
