  1. You should be able to go back to default settings by clicking on the in the Camera panel under your joystick Identifier. Respectfully: David...
  2. Thanks everyone for your input! I thought something may have been wrong with the set-up, or I was not receiving the on-line data that this sim incorporates. I also noticed that! AT&T and Six Flags are visible, and you can follow I-30 from Mesquite to West Fort Worth, now Ft, Worth, Grand Prairie, Arlington are pretty much in detail from the old post office to Harris Hospital and the stock yards are there also... I hope the Scenery fix for Dallas and other major cities that need updating start arriving soon, In a way this is a good thing. It leaves room for 3rd party developers to build the world we live in... David...
  3. I decided to fly over downtown Dallas my home base, and guess what! no city! It's just a bunch of Generic buildings. the roadways are in place but all the landmark buildings are just rectangle shaped structures placed where the major buildings would be. Has anyone else encountered this situation? Did I set up the sim wrong? While I was installing, when the program asked me to use satellite data, I clicked yes... Or is possible that Dallas is going to be a add-on by a 3rd party vendor? Any suggestions, hints, tricks or work-arounds... Respectfully: David...
  4. Don't give up just yet! I thought about parking this sim also! but decided to go back to settings on the controllers and re-task the controllers to my standards. The only issues I am still having is the Saitek FIP's and Multi Panels. so I parked them instead, and reconfigured with some old CH products controllers. as time go's by it all be resolved, As any major programing and build some issues will be with the first build. They are working on the issues... I remember when General Dynamics first put out the F-16 Falcon, that bird didn't even fly! I mean it it almost crash on take off! Look what it became, The worlds best Fighter! This sim is somewhat the same, look at the potential and what it will become! Now if you want basic controllers to fly around without re-tasking use a X-Box controller! it is pre programmed for this sim... Respectfully: David.... Watch this video for setting up controllers...
  5. Hey vb1 watch this video: It will show you how to properly set the sensitivity ratings:
  6. If you are having problems with the Hat switch you can re-task it to fit your needs, or add a X-Box controller to your sim and it will give you three hat switch and view commands with ease of use.
  7. Watch This Video! Tutorial #2 - Peripheral Control Setup - Microsoft Flight Simulator
  8. The HAT Switch on most controllers give you very limited movement and function with this platform, Correct? And when flying you don't want to constantly let go of your joystick or yoke to grab the mouse to start panning around for moving views? But the Throttles are a different story! Once set there pretty much hands off, leaving a lot of time before adjusting with your free hand (Left or Right Hand). So how about adding a third controller! One just for Camera Views? So this what I done: 1st "I borrowed my Grand Daughters" old X-Box controller and plugged it into my PC and Voila! Instant Pan, Zoom and Hat switch all pre-read by the simulator. 2nd To stop any conflicts with the other peripherals I deleted all other control inputs on the X-Box controller, then I placed the X-Box controller just below my Throttles so I can just reach down and use the HAT switch's (Multiple) tp Pan, Zoom, Reset and move around the cockpit or exterior of the aircraft even better and faster than FSX or P3D can. There was no need to re-task the views since Microsoft already had already pre-programmed them into the simulation for the X-Box controller, just be certain to delete all other functions, so you don't have issues with your other hardware. 3rd A added benefit if you press the center illuminated (X) button it will display a pop screen of your PC's performance with-in the simulation, along with other pertinent information about your aircraft, on-line experience, multiplayer contact information and mini task bar... I hope you find this helpful with your flight simulation experience! Respectfully: David...
  9. This Flight Simulator needs more than ever external instruments like Saitek FIP's or Multi Panels. Sadly none work! And I cannot seem to get them to read or map out. The Yokes work, but the more advanced instruments are a "no go". I am afraid to report that, the Saitek/Logitech Pro Flight Switch Panel, Autopilot, Radios, and FIP's do not work. Then the wonky camera views makes it difficult to keep a level flight and to monitor airspeed and basic control of your aircraft. Even with a large screen monitor (42") the instruments are hard to read and your flying all over the place. I purchased and registered a copy of "SPAD NEXT" drivers it still will not read those Saitek/Logitech items mentioned above So I am parking this simulation for a little while, to wait for the compatibility issues to be worked out. I do not want to be fighting with a controller every time I want to fly! I do not want to be guessing my altitude, airspeed or vertical speed with these camera views. If you are having the same issues as me, or know of a resolution to the problems posted on the Saitek/Logitech Controllers, mention or post them. Respectfully: David...
  10. watch this YouTube video: Tutorial #2 - Peripheral Control Setup - Microsoft Flight Simulator I was able to map all my CH Products Controllers Respectfully David
  11. One simple question: How in the "Blazing Saddles" do I get the Hat switch to pan around like in FSX or P3D? This zoom forward and zoom back does me no good when trying to look up right or up left. Anyone? Dave...

  13. Here is the "Event" that may be causing Windows 10 to crash. Windows is aware of the problem that is happening. With the next update it may be resolved. MFCO80.DLL Symptoms You install a product that updates the Mfc80.dll module or the Mfc80u.dll module on the computer from version 8.0.50727.870 to version 8.0.50727.3078. For example, you install Microsoft SQL Server 2008. When you run an application that is built with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, an access violation occurs in the Mfc80.dll module or in the Mfc80u.dll module. And, the application crashes. Note This problem applies to many other applications, including applications that are used on Windows 7. Cause This problem occurs because the two versions are incompatible.
