  1. 20 minutes with a slow connection? I have a somewhat fast connection. Yes it took around 20 minutes to download. But I'm a bit over 3 hours and still decompressing with a bit more than 2 GiB still to go. BTW, I'm on Steam so maybe that's the reason. It just seems a bit ridiculous that it's taking so long. Must be rewriting the entire game.
  2. The shift Z mod sounds good. I remember it from P3D. I've downloaded it and unzipped it to my desktop. It's a folder named ambitiouspilots-shiftzstats. My question is where do I install it to and do I install the entire folder as is. ANd I should say, I'm using the Steam version so things are a bit different than if I had gone to the microsoft store for it.
  3. I found the same thing. r ctrl + and r ctrl - Nice of Microsoft to tell us this. Also, I didn't see any indication on screen as to what acceleration rate I was using. Kind of makes it awkward to try to return to normal rate as you can go to a rate of less than 1. Unless I've missed something. Anyone else see an indication of the acc rate?
  4. Dan - Thanks so much. I can't tell you how many dead ends I followed and how many hours spent looking for these files. Your directions were spot-on. Mike
  5. I'm running it through steam. Where do I find that folder? Thanks
  6. I'm just getting started with MSFS2020 and for the life of me I can't find any key bindings for time compression. Has anyone found it? Thanks+
  7. Ah, yes. Found it now. Thanks. These 71 year old eyes just don't do it anymore. No chance for a replacement body, I suppose.
  8. I'm using XP11 with 124thATC64 as my ATC. I was approaching KISP in very low visibility, just slightly above minimums in the default 737-800. My flight plan was for an IFR flight KDCA to KISP. Yet when I was nearing KISP, I was told to expect runway 28 which is one of the shorter runways and has no ILS. I know I can request a specific runway for takeoff when I'm getting my clearance. But how do I tell ATC that I'd prefer runway 06 which is the ILS runway? I had such trouble seeing the runway that I had to do a go around and divert.
  9. You should do yourself a favor and download the plugin 124thATC64. Easy to install. Just unzip it and put it into your X-Plane 11/resources/plugins and you're good to go. It's far superior to the stock ATC.
  10. I'm not sure where you found this. But on X-Plane.org, in the download section, I found a cessna310R. unzipped it and installed it into x-plane11/aircraft/laminar and it went in without a hitch and runs like a champ. So, could you have it in the wrong place and not removed it. Or could you have downloaded a file for another version of XP (seems more likely). When I downloaded, I saw 4 different files for the C310. One for XP9.7, one for XP10, one for XP11 and one for multiplayer. Not sure how they differ, but if you have the file for XP9.7, it won't show up. Please make sure you have the correct verion. Other than that, sorry but I'm out of ideas.
  11. Just getting started with XP 11 after something like 30 years with MSFS starting with FS2. I've gone through the manual and all the keyboard settings and for the life of me I can't figure out how to shut down the engines and then start them again. I would think there must be some keyboard combination to do these two things. Anyone can help with this??? Thanks Mike
  12. Other than the PMDG, has anyone found a 737-700 or 737-800 for P3D4. Freeware would be nice. I need this for my VA, Southwest Virtual. Thanks
