    Alhama de Murcia is a Spanish city located in the natural region of Bajo Guadalentín, at the foot of Sierra Espuña mountains. It has a population of 21,351.

    The municipality of Alhama de Murcia, occupies an area of ​​311.55 sq km, almost in the center of the Region of Murcia located at south west coast of Spain. Its height above sea level is 176 meters. The municipality extends from the tops Espuña to the top of the Sierra Carrascoy, through the central part of the plain known as murciana prelitoral Guadalentín valley.
