I had my B.I.P (basic information panel) working, but since I added other items it no longer works. I have tried downloading the driver from the website. It seems to work in the programming software that Saitek uses. It appears that FSX is not acknowledging it. Has anyone had this problem. Do I need to unistall all Saitek drivers and start over. The switch panel was not working, and now it is. Now the B.I.P. panel is not working. Any suggestions.

Hi guys. I've been planning to upgrade, and was originally thinking of just a new cpu, mb, and ram, to retro fit along with my existing. Well, I figured I might as well get the whole new deal, so what do you all think of this?----

Case-- Cooler Master RC 942 KKN1 HAF X ATX

MB-- Asus Sabertooth Z77 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI

GPU-- Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti

Memory-- Corsair 8GB (2x4) DDR3 1600 low latency

PSU-- I need suggestions for this

HDD-- suggestions, again.

CPU--Intel I7 3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5 GHZ LGA 115577w Quad Core

Primarily, the main influence for this is FSX. Not being any kind of computer smart guy, any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. Rick

Hi!

I have a problem with my FS9 textures and as I don't know if it is a video card or sim problem

i post this in both this and the hardware forum.

When I start at an airport I get normal texture images, but it pops into blurred repeatedly

and I have to refresh scenery.

I checked my setup and the NVIDIA Inspector, but settings seem OK.

I have a Gigabyte NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 650 Ti card and the PC is absolutely adequate; Intel

3.4 GHZ, enough memory, etc.

I am sure it must be a setting somewhere which causes this.

Any idea how to fix this problem?

Grateful for any tips.

Thanks!
Is it worth spending that amount of money on a expensive gpu since FSX is more cpu dependant. I feel that it is a better option on the long run, but if a gpu half the price of the 7870/7950 performs the same, then obvoiusly it will better money wise buying a 6950 type gpu.
I need some help from the experts.
Lastly, and i know it gets asked a lot, but, for FSX is AMD better or nvidia.

Hope to get your reply

I am getting tired of having to open and close windows and would like to put my secondary things (like radio stack, gps, extra gauges that might be on a pop up panel, ect) on a second monitor. I have done it before with FS9 and am familiar with how to do it.

The things is, my PC only has one graphics card slot so I need a PCI card to run the second monitor. It will run through a KVM switch off my second computer but that does not enter this discussion. Given it's uses, it probably will not have to be a powerful card but I would like one that is stable and works well with XP and 7 for when I upgrade to it. The pickings on PCI cards are pretty lean these days and I really don't know what to buy.

Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Not too long ago, FS9 started giving me this error. The odd thing is, FS9 detects the wx servers in the internal diagnostic test feature.

FS9 has worked on this machine for years and years. I have removed FS9, and re-installed. That did not fix anything. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you for your consideration!

Hello all,

I am looking for recommendations for a PC/laptop headset to use on teamspeak when I am playing FSX. I tried hooking up my Turtlebeach headset from my xbox to my laptop but when I ran the sound test usingthe teamspeak setup wizard I ran into two problems:

1.) Talkback - I'm not sure if that's correct term to use, but basically I could always hear myself talking (with a delay of about one second). This was incredibly annoying and made it difficult to communicate.

2.) The cables are just way too long and hard to manage - probably since it was designed to be hooked up to a console that you wouldn't usually be sitting right in front of.

So would anyone recommend headsets to use while using teamspeak with FSX? The first problem is really the key issue I am trying to get around; the second issue is an annoyance but it's not a deal breaker.

Oh and I'm not looking for anything top-of-the-line; just a solid headset that offers clear communications.

Hallo

I upgraded my pc In feb to a asrock z77 extreme 4 and i5 3570k.
I have 8gb DDR3 1600 ram and hdd's etc
I want to know what is a nice gpu to upgrade to, to round off my system. FPS is on average around 25 with add-ons. So for me it is not to bad. i know a gpu wont really increase fps but i feel my trusty HD5770 is getting too old and dusty.

So any ideas are welcome

Hey everyone, as many of you know everyone wants the best possible results they can get out of FSX. At this point, i'm fed up with customer service and the overall results I am getting from my Alienware Auora R4. Although only a year old, the CPU supposedly OC to 4.1 does not seem to support that statement by DELL when flying. I truly think the CPU is at a standard 3.2Ghz. Although this is not the only reason why I want to move on from Alienware, I am going back to school and am looking at a MacBook Pro.

So...I think its time to put her up for sale!

In the meantime, I need a little help with new gaming computer suggestions. My primary use is for FSX, internet surfing, Photoshop, Lightroom and a few other editing applications. I have had my eye on Digital Storm and am serious about spending the necessary amount of money to have a fast CPU, and great graphics card. I'd like the CPU around 4.3-4.5GHz with possibly an NVIDIA Graphics Card.

Open to all opinions and whether or not you would reccomend Digital Storm, and if so, what model from their Spec Ops line.

I recently upgraded to a 64 bit machine. Everything works fine except I now need to cycle the USB plugs for the yoke and pedals every time I fire up FSX. Did not have to do that with the 32 bit machine. Have downloaded CH products latest drivers, cleared drivers and re-installed. Tried the Windows 7 generic drivers. Everything works after the recycle. Just wondering if there is some secruity, or other program that is causing this.
Any thoughts or suggestions or hey you gotta do this would be greatly appreciated.
