Eagle Valley Air has closed it doors as a successful world wide charter VA after 5 years and 300 pilots and now after some retooling open shop as the first Private Pilot Bush and Recreational Flying VA. Our focus has shifted to just having fun flying those light recreational and extreme flying aircraft.

Our area of operations will be restricted to northwestern North America which follows what is now the ORBX FTX NA area running to the Pacific coastline and up the Rockie Mountains. This area will expand with new releases for FTX NA. Within this area we have used our VA solution with VA Financials' VAFS client. We use an open format; meaning you can fly any AC which you can take off and land on a recorded VAFS route. Every flight is open to any AC at anytime and without using any logic behind your choices. You pick and fly!

We use the VAFS coding of flights to best offer our pilots the ability to fly a diverse selection of aircraft on the most quality and realistic areas to fly and a means of keeping tract of your flight performance and accomplishments. Our forum provides a home for real world pilots and the best flightsimmers. There is always the extras also, like MP and TS3 for those users.

Don't be short changed with VA's trying to do it all. It cannot be done. If you like flying light general aviation to an extreme realism then EVA is where you should be. EVA only asks you to be an adult.

A few weeks ago I reported the launching of a new VA, virtual Air Logistics. vAL is a different kind of virtual airline for a different kind of virtual pilot. I’m happy to report that we are growing at a healthy pace and have partnered with a great group of freeware scenery designers. More about this in a minute.

Why vAL? vAL offers the virtual pilot a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We fully understand that many things in life come before our hobbies. We never expect you to put your virtual aviation career ahead of family, work, school and other life commitments. We offer schedules ranging from just 30 minutes of flying time up to 1-2 hours. Our goal at vAL is to start small and grow based on the number of members and overall flight activity. Currently we have pilot bases in Colorado and Alaska and pilots can fly from either as they desire.

Our flight schedules offer the virtual pilot a wide range of prop driven aircraft including the Piper Cub J3, DHC-2 Beaver (all variants), C185 (all variants), the C208 and for those wanting a little more power, we offer many routes on the Beech 1900D. vAL offers some fantastic bush flying throughout the Alaska, British Columbia and Yukon region with new routes and destinations added each week.

Finally, with our brand new partnership with Return to Misty Moorings, vAL offers an opportunity for virtual pilots to really get a sense of what bush flying is all about and strengthens our “No Runway Too Short, No Airfield Too Remote” philosophy. Return to Misty Moorings is a freeware scenery site offering additional sceneries, missions and much more for the Orbx/FTX regions in the Pacific Northwest.

Want to help out newer pilots, by allowing them to get a grip on flight simulation? Want to boost flight scores, and improve performance? If so, you may want to institute some form of training program.

For over a year now the Eugene Virtual FBO has been providing superior 1 on 1 flight training to aviation enthusiasts. With highly qualified instructors, and a fairly large time of availability, the FBO can train any pilot to the highest standards to make them valuable assets.

The FBO is here to offer Virtual Airlines a comprehensive 30 day training program for pilots in need of some help. Airlines that qualify use Microsoft Flight Simulator 10, and can have their members fly in a multilayer environment with a shared aircraft. The training program contains the following virtual pilot ratings, which are earned just like in real life:

Single Engine Commercial License
Multi Engine Rating
Multi Engine Commercial License
Virtual Airline Familiarization Course (Equivalent to jet transition)

Just like in real life, most of these flights are done in small, general aviation training aircraft. Why? Because they are the easiest to fly and serve as the best platform for the development of core flying skills. Yes, commercial aircraft are a whole new ballpark, but the only real difference is the speed and on-board systems. The flying is still essentially the same.

This program covers the topics involved in the real world ratings, so please look at the requirements and checkrides for the various pilot ratings, those are what we use (Besides the hour requirements).

Given that a participant flys roughly 3 times a week, this course should take about 30 days, however this cannot be guaranteed 100% of the time.

This 1 on 1 training truly covers everything: from flight dynamics, to communications, to instrument approach procedures, to checklists. Pilots that complete this Flight Simulator training can greatly improve their flying ability.

I would like to start off by saying that there of course are many Orbit Airlines "virtuals", but I have purely used this name to obey copyright rules, and to allow everyone to have access to aircraft.
This company has started from scratch, and we have just a handful of aircraft and routes.

JetOne Airways To Take Flight In 2013, Signs for 12 Bombardier Aircraft

Upscale regional carrier to serve eastern Canada from Montreal's Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport

Montreal,June 11th, 2013 - JetOne Airways Inc. (JetOne) formally launched today by submitting its application for a CAR705 Air Operator Certificate. Operator approval will position the carrier as Canada's latest entry in the growing regional market. The airline unveiled its business plan before a group of media representatives, employees, invited guests and federal regulators this morning in the nation's capital.

JetOne, backed by aviation conglomerate Opulent Holdings LTD., also announced it has placed a firm order with Bombardier Aerospace for twelve (12) 70-seat Next Generation Dash-8 Q400 turboprop aircraft. The contract, which is valued at more than $650 million at 2013 list prices, includes purchase options for an additional 12 Q400's and Next Generation Canadair Regional Jet aircraft. The airline is expected to receive its first two aircraft in late July, as it secures delivery positions with leasing giant GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS).

"We're thrilled to be taking these first steps to offering Canadian travelers a fresh, civilized way to fly," said Andrew Reynolds, President and Chief Operating Officer of JetOne Airways Inc.
