I think there's time to sneak in a TW event next month .... it's been a little while and several of us really enjoy the TW 06 and TW 07 PGA Tour Fly-ins.

So we'll shoot (that's pretty funny) for the 12 May at 1800 ZULU .... that's the day of the final round in the real world (Sunday) and traditionally when we have done any commemorative events.

Players will need to have either the EA Sports Tiger Woods 2006 or 2007 installed and working .... if you will be picking the package up and haven't used it you may participate with one of the default players rather than rush to build your own if you wish although that itself has been one of the mainstays of these events .... each person's home built players of themselves or someone else to include several virtual girlfriends ... some of the gals are the best players

You can pick this up for next to nothing online at amazon or ebay or any number of other places ... you could stumble across either one at your favorite discount dept. store on sale.

A former member of our fine gaggle of golf nuts created a scenery for the airport at Deep Forest (FD48) in Jacksonville, FL very close to the golf course at Sawgrass.

How close? ..... :rolleyes: .... well close enough to drive from the GA Parking at FS48 to the Clubhouse in any MSFS land vehicle you choose in what could be described as an all out sprint or more accurate .... "last one there is a rotten egg".

Once we decide who gets the rotten egg award, then we will drop our FSHost connection and join a TW06/TW07 connection as per the version you have and what we will need to set up to balance out foursomes as best we can.

You can make requests to that resolve on the day of the event, but there is no way to guarantee any preset arrangements of players until we see who shows up.

Okay .... now the "In the Nutshell or Nuthouse" paragraph:

We'll be leaving FD48 in all sorts of vehicles (cars, trucks, jeeps, tanks, helos, ultralights) for the clubhouse on a newly paved back road in a "balls to the wall" fashion at exactly 1800 ZULU.

Remember the last one there is a rotten egg and will be crowned as such upon his/her arrival at the clubhouse.

Once the rotten egg is determined we will drop our FSHost connections and jion an assigned TW PGA Tour session to play the Back Nine holes.

To Register:

(1) Download and install the fd48golf.zip by Ron McNeil.

(2) Make a post here with your intent by naming the zipfile of the vehicle you'll be taking to the clubhouse ... others will need to know so they can download and install it so they can see you as you are.

That's it!

Instruction:

Schedule your Fly-In to arrive slightly before the Mad Dash to the clubhouse at 1800 ZULU .... fly whatever you want as far ahead of time as you want .... the server will be locked down on the day of the event so participants will have it to themselves to make as long a flight as they desire.

Park your plane at or near the FBO at the airport and change into the vehicle you will be using to get to the clubhouse.

At 1800 ZULU the flag will drop and we will race to the clubhouse .... no holds bared in "whatever ya brung"

Settings for the Golf sessions will be as follows:

Game Type --- Stroke
Opponents --- N/A it won't matter what you have here .... default none is fine
Holes -------- Back 9
Mulligans ----- 1 (Note this is new)
Gimmies ------ No

Golfer ---- be sure you have only one showing in box

Player Type ------- Human
Difficulty ---------- Novice
Control Method ---- [ Make sure this is set for the swing type you prefer ]
Handicap ---------- None

Course - TPC at Sawgrass

Conditions -- Normal
Wind ------- Breezy
Rough ------ Average
Time ------- Afternoon
Tee -------- Pro
Pin --------- Difficult

Showing these settings for any practice you'd like to take ... strongly advised BTW.

Also keep handy as you could have to reenter them during the log on process.
