Freeware Focus: A.F. Scrub

Recently FlightSim.Com had the chance to talk to A.F. Scrub. A former
pilot and active flightsimmer for more than a decade, he got his start
with CFS and continues using the latest FS2004 and FSX. Over the years
he has created hundreds of planes for these sims, concentrating on
warbirds and specializing in planes that no one else is creating.

Question: When did you start developing for flight
simulators?

In 2001, I did my first CFS1 "Secret Base" campaign. Then I
started doing mods for CFS1 online combat flying

Freeware Focus: Steve Hess

Development

When did you start developing for flight simulators?

I started my first project in 1997 with a Cessna 172 panel for
Flight Unlimited II. The second version of the panel received a full
page review in PC Pilot magazine.

How many designs have you done?

I have done about two dozen panel projects. That includes updated
versions of prior projects as well.

Freeware Focus: David Grindele

Development

When did you start developing for flight simulator?

Although I started with FS4 when Flight Simulator looked like a
bad Atari game I didn't really start doing any kind of work until
FS5 hit the market then I just mainly created adventures and routes
and such. It wasn't until FS2004 hit the market I really started doing my
own thing with repainting aircraft. Thank God for the

Freeware Focus: Craig Richardson

We recently had the chance to interview freeware aircraft designer
Craig Richardson. Craig has created quite a variety of both old and
new light planes which have been very popular with downloaders.

Development

When did you start developing for flight simulators?

My passion for aircraft comes from my father who makes flying
model aircraft, radio controled

Freeware Focus: Vladimir Gonchar

Recently we had the chance to interview Vladimir Gonchar who has a long
history as a creator of aircraft and panels. His earliest designs go back
to the days of Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator (CFS) and his latest are
for FSX but most have in common that they feature classic planes, many
from the biplane and golden age of aviation era.
