• Review: Aerofly FS2

    Aerofly FS2 from IPACS offers excellent scenery graphics and extremely realistic flight physics. It does have limitations in area covered and planes available, but reviewer Mario Donick found that it works really well and offers high FPS that other sims cannot match. He's now added it as a sim that he regularly uses.

    Review: Aerosoft - Svalbard for X-Plane 11

    Svalbard is a highly realistic recreation of the Svalbard islands for X-Plane 11. The Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean is situated about midway between continental Norway and the North Pole and provides some exciting and scenic flying. Reviewer Stuart McGregor enjoyed flying it in different seasons and found that overall it was done to a high standard.

    Review: Aerosoft - Airport Bali

    The airport of Bali has been created for X-Plane 11 by Aerosoft based on recent imagery. The airport environment with highly detailed airport buildings and high-res textures conveys the true Bali look and feel which you can see in the surroundings. Airport Bali was created with an eye for the details and offers virtual pilots a unique experience! Review Paul Mort liked it so much he gave it the highest rating he's ever given in one of his reviews.

    Review: Orbx - EU Germany North

    EU Germany North from Orbx enhances the scenery of the northern half of Germany and even somewhat behind. It works with FSX and Prepar3D and gives five season textures, plus hand-placed objects, new autogen, VFR scenery and more. Reviewer Michael Hayward really enjoyed the scenery--the realism, performance, price...everything.

    Just Flight, in partnership with Thranda Design, now offer the PA-28-161 Warrior II for X-Plane 11. It features PBR materials with real-time environment reflections for superb quality and realism, 4096 x 4096 textures for the highest possible texture clarity and numerous animations including a multi-animation passenger door that, when open, responds to G-forces and air resistance. Reviewer Stuart McGregor found that the plane met all his expectations and then some.

    Review: Taburet - Night XP UK and Ireland

    While posted as a review, this article about Night XP UK and Ireland from Taburet is more of a warning from author Rene Bruun that you need to be careful with what you purchase. He discovered too late that his machine did not meet the requirements for this add-on and not surprisingly his results were less than satisfactory. With the right hardware, this add-on should make a nice improvement to your night flying.

    Review: Aerosoft - Antonov An-2

    The Antonov An-2 "Colt" or "Anushka" is a 1950's era utility biplane that served in a variety of roles and was so useful it was built up to 2001. The Aerosoft version for FSX and P3D v4.1 features complex modelling with many animations, fully functional systems, hi def cockpit, realistic flight model and much more. Reviewer Meng Yu finds it to be well modelled and fun to fly.

    Sim-Wings - Canary Islands Professional - El Hierro for P3Dv4

    The airport and island of El Hierro are part of the long-awaited rework of Sim-wings' "Canary Islands" series for Prepar3D V4.     Flight Sim World: Closure Announcement

    Dovetail Games (DTG) has announce the end of their ambitious Flight Sim World project. Though FSW never got out of Early Access it was still a very complete and usable flight simulator. Those who have purchased it will still be able to use it, along with any add-ons purchased as DLC.

    Aerosoft - Douglas DC-8 for P3Dv4

    The Douglas DC-8 was one of the aircraft that brought long distance air travel to the masses. For a long time, we lacked these important aircraft in our simulators but this add-on for Prepar3D v4 from Aerosoft adds a version to your virtual hangar that is not only looking and sounding good, but also offers a good system depth. Every real pilot will enjoy navigating by VOR and NDB and manually managing the four finicky power plants. It is hard work but the DC-8 will reward you with great handling.

    Aeroplane Heaven Announces The Bulldog Spirit

    Around 15 years ago, Aeroplane Heaven produced a simulation of the Bristol Bulldog Mk2A. It became one of their most successful productions and is still in high demand as freeware, though no longer available. Many RAF pilots who trained on and flew this machine in the 1930's went on to fly and fight in the Battle of Britain.
