am a commercial helicopter & fixed wing pilot (ATP) with over 20 years of flying experience. I've been into this FS98 program for only a short time but have logged hundreds of hours on this damn computer. I can't put it down!

Carl Gallup's add-on RealChop has opened a whole new dimension in this game. Until I discovered RealChop, I just ignored the helicopters because they are impossible to fly. His program isn't perfect, but it's close! I now download helicopters and fly them all over with near pinpoint accuracy. I can now fly to oil rigs in the gulf or land on a carrier!

The difference between a real helicopter and this add-on are minor. For instance: I can't do pedal turns with RealChop and it doesn't hover at a perfect standstill. If you shoot your approach as if you are flying the slowest airplane you could fly, do a shallow approach and drive to your spot, it will go there every time. The use of flaps & spoiler only make it easier, but really aren't necessary.

The more I fly RealChop the more I learn about it and the better I get. The takeoffs are a breeze! This add-on is a must have for anyone who loves helicopters and can't fly the Flight Sim 98 Bell 206!

The basic version of RealChop is freeware. There are also two enhanced flight models for higher performance helicopters available as shareware.
