Cessna's 195 Businessliner was among a family of light, single-engine aircraft produced by Cessna Aircraft Company. The 195 was manufactured between 1947 and 1954. It had a radial engine, fixed landing gear, and high cantilever wings (no struts), and it was the first airplane by Cessna to be constructed completely of aluminum. The radial engine enabled a wider body than other Cessna light aircraft, providing ample space for occupants and cargo. Cessna marketed its 195 to business owners and executives because it was expensive to own and operate. My table below shows that the 195 is about one-third heavier and about two-thirds more powerful than the Cessna 172.
