So another month gets to an end. May 2012 has been noted to be the golden month for Pakistan International Airlines Simulation Virtual. This month was a busy and 24/7 activity month for Pakistan International Airlines Simulation Virtual.
Most importantly this month our web site has gone through a major update the whole template of the web site has been changed and a refreshing look has been given to the site. Just visit our site at www.piasvirtual.org to learn more on it and checkout our new refreshing template.
This month MashAllah by the Grace of Allah PIAS Virtual has introduced 3 heritage virtual airline operations & 1 virtual airline. We have introduced the PAF Simulations virtual one of the most awaited virtual airline (first time in Pakistan). PAF Simulations virtual is scheduled to start its virtual operations this month. Coming to the heritage operations we have the Shaheen Air Heritage Virtual Operations , Hajvery Heritage Virtual Operations & Aero Asia Virtual Operations.
MashAllah by the grace of Allah PIAS Virtual has again achieved the 3rd position among a global competition of more than 200 virtual airlines in the world on va-list.com which is held everymonth. PIAS Virtual recieved 144 votes this month at va-list.com I would like to thank all members and guests who have voted for us and helped us in achieving this position.
We also jumped from 116 to 110 at VACentral. This month our members recorded a total of 36 PIREPs which is a great improvement as compared to the last months report. This month PIAS Virtual has received a total of 18 new pilots. Congratulations to all pilots and staff for achieving this.
For May 2012 the pilot of the month award goes to Muhammad Waqar Imran (PIA11037) who recorded 11 PIREPs this month. He has shown keen interest in the flying operations of PIAS Virtual and has hopefully enjoyed his virtual career with us.
As we told earlier in the April 2012 report that we shall be restructouring some of our staff we have done that and we have new staff members however some staff positions are still available which can be viewed at our PIAS Virtual Group Careers web site http://careers.piasvirtual.org.
I would like to introduce you all to our new staff member Fahad Usmani who has been made the Director Corporate Planning (dcp@piasvirtual.org) I am really happy with his performance through out the month he has served PIAS Virtual in a great way this month.
Fahad has shown the potential that every PIAS Virtual staff member must have. Fahad Usmani has a lot of virtual airline experiance and has proved that at PIAS Virtual in just the time of 1 month. I would like to congratulate Fahad on this. Keep it up Fahad!
We also now have 24/7 Live Support Services and training services as well. This month PIAS Virtual Pakistan has also recieved an official letter from Peter from VATSIM which stated that they have complete plans to launch Pakistan vACC. The message stated the following:
VATSIM Asia is interested in setting up a Virtual Air Control Center for Pakistan. Members who are interested control this vACC in the future and provide ATC Service to ALL traffic are invited to contact Mr. Peter at p.nielsen@vatsim.net in order to commerce ATC Training and upon successful rating progression to open up ATC Positions accross Pakistan commensurate with the provisions laid down in the VATSIM's GRP.
Coming to the events part , At PIAS Virtual Pakistan there have been 2 new events started in May 2012 which are to go on till the end of July 2012. The two events that were introduced are First of all the Pakistan - Sri Lanka Cricket Tour Flights 2012 which involve flights from Pakistan to Sri Lanka (return virtual flights as well) most importantly they also include some virtual flights in Sri Lanka.
We also introduced our 2nd event which is the MANGO SEASON 2012. In this event there are cargo virtual flights taking the tasty mangoes from Pakistan to various countries throughout the world.
For both of the events the Top Virtual Pilot shall be given a payware award.
Our F1 Event which was started in March continues which will go on till December 2012 which is the "F1 - Formula 1" Event for details our members can check at the forums in between this time InshAllah PIAS Virtual shall start the hajj flights as well probably in Octobers end or November as per the schedule of PIA.
Our virtual airline community continues to grow as we are getting new members day by day and specially our staff dedication to PIAS is highly appreciated for which I am really grateful to them specially Fahad Usmani , Ali Asad , Nauman Khan & Hassan.
