N.W.A.G is proud to announce the unveiling of their new Flight Academy. Headed up by Chief of Staff/Training Administrator Trey Thriffiley a real-world pilot and aircraft owner, the N.W.A.G Flight Academy strives to bring you from the creation of your VATSIM CID to the completion of your type rating in a number of military and civilian aircraft in as little time as possible. We understand that each pilot learns differently, and that nobody wants to read pages and pages of material. We have instructors and staff members who are generally available 24/7 to answer any questions you may have. With a plan to achieve the coveted VATSIM ATO certification, we are looking to expand our ranks and turn as many pilots in to Certified Flight Instructors as we can. Requirements to join N.W.A.G are:
- 13 years of age
- VATSIM CID
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 or X
- Fly a minimum of 1 (one) hour per month using a N.W.A.G callsign in an aircraft of your choosing
Already an experienced VATSIM simmer? Not a problem. With short refresher courses in VFR and IFR procedures, and options to test out of various ratings, joining N.W.A.G has never been more simple or fun. Training will vary for each student but committed students with experience should be able to complete in roughly two weeks. Ground School Courses will be scheduled as instructor workload and students' schedules permit.
N.W.A.G is currently looking for pilots to train or hire as N.W.A.G Instructors in anticipation of the expansion our training program. The requirements for the C.F.I positions are:
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Be able to commit 10 hours weekly of availability* to students
- 400 hours of flying on VATSIM
- Exceed the N.W.A.G monthly hours requirement mentioned above
For those that are interested in joining, visit us at www.nwagops.com or email Trey Thriffiley at cos@nwagops.com.
We understand you have real lives. You don't have to be at your computer for 10 hours a week to be available.
