• Fantastic Day Had By All At The Flight1 Open Day 2011

    The best Open Day yet!

Flight1 would like to thank everyone who attended the Open Day on Saturday 24th September, it was everything the Open Days should be - friends new and old meeting up to discuss shared passions, surrounded by great aircraft both real and virtual.

They were delighted to welcome a pair of P51-D Mustangs 'Janie' and 'Marinell', as well as a Bucker Jungmann, Decathlon, Cub L-4, Harvard, the Flight1 Extra 300 and of course many other GA favourites.

Alongside the stunning aircraft, aerial displays and series of instructional talks, Flight1 welcomed over 500 guests including flight instructors, pilots of all types, a fantastic crowd of flight sim users and those who has just turned up to find out more about what they do.

The day was a huge success - thanks in no small part to everyone who attended and helped make it a very special day.

Particular thanks must go to Shoreham Airport, Maurice and Leah Hammond, VATSIM, RC Simulations, RAFSIM, Alpine Computers, PC Pilot magazine, Transair and Air France Virtual. All of whom helped make it a very special day.

Full reports, including pod casts and photographs will follow in the next few days.
