Grumman F9F-5P Panther Photo Recon Sorite
Aircraft: F9F-5P - 202 - 126277 (serial #)
Squadron- VMCJ-3
Date: August 1, 1952
Place: Sea of Japan, USS ORISKANY (CV-32)
Crew- Marine Lieutenant Christopher 'Ace' Sohn
Time: 1500
Expected Arrival Time- 1700
Briefing
Military intel reported that there has been some activity near the DMZ at a rural airport. Similiar photo sorties report that there has been movement of enemy artillery and aircraft. The F9F-5P will fly above that air base at low altitude using both foward and base recon cameras.
