View Full Version : Gray textures?
I had to unistall FS2002,and reinstall it due to some major computer problems (had to format the hard drive).....but thats a long troubled story. Anyway I got everything back on track and reinstalled FS2002. I now have gray ground textures......EVERYWHERE. There were no errors when I installed FS2002, and there is no errors when I load FS2002. Has anybody else had this problem, and is there a quick fix? By the way I reinstalled it again (3rd time),and the same thing happens. Also......everything else works great...framerates ect....

In reformatting your HD, did you reinstall the operating system and all the correct and updated drivers for your graphics adapter, sound, controller chips, etc.?
LAST EDITED ON Jan-10-02 AT 01:42AM (EDT)[p]Thats the thing, I'm not a computer expert. I installed my original OS (Win 98), video card driver, my sound driver, and the Joystick, but I have no idea what other stuff I would have to install. Its a Dell, and I still have the CD with all the drivers, but it has a ton of crap on it and I wouldn't know where to start? Thanks

Right click the my computer icon, select properties, device manager, look through the list for "!" and "X" on any of the devices. Double click computer and review list for Via Tech or other chips controllers. Double click on your display (graphics controller) adapter and check the driver version. Do the same with the sound card. Check to see if you have any contentions of IRQs.
THANKS!!!!......It worked
