actually, It feels weird to see them again...
they had, and still have got a big impact on people, bacause when you say America, now more than ever, these two are one of the first things I think about...

indeed they were a statue on their own

I took that one seperately from the rest.
Goto the panel view of any plane and press "w" twcie to get rid of all the instruments. Then slew to the bottom of the two towers :-)

I have never been to New York before, but I went to Washington DC and saw the Pentagon. For everyone familiar with the DC area, you know that road that heads into southern Virginia that goes right by the Pentagon on the way out? My god, I woulda hated to be driving on that road on that fateful day watching a commerical airliner crash into the Pentagon. I try to forget Sept. 11th but everytime it getsd brought up again I get madder and sadder at the same time. RIP

I couldnt agree more with you Tyler. I saw the pentagon a few years ago all in once piece. To see it on tv with a huge whole in it is a sensitive site.

Great pics by the way, man.

Not to keep going on a sore subject, but the hole wasnt that big at the Pentagon. Maybe it was just because they had already cleaned up?? I was there in March 2002.

I live about 20 miles from the pentagon, And on Sept. 11th i was at work with my dad who works in alexandria. For those of you who
know where that is, Its right down the road from the Pentagon. Anyways, I was with my dad at work and I was tired so i went to sleep, Then i woke up to a "BOOOM" My dad and all of his employees ran outside, And you could see smoke coming, So we left and went to see what was going on and the traffic was horrible! no one could move, And we could see the pentagon from a distance smoking with the ashes of our comrads. I ask all of you, Does war make this country better? Or does it kill all of humanity! Now that were in 'war' to keep america safe, its not gonna change anything. Why kill someone who may be innocent because of there race or origin? These people have kids, Dads, Moms, friends just like you! And were killing them. I understand that were killing these people that killed our friends in the WTC and pentagon, But im talking about War in general. Why pull the trigger for world leaders when you can have peace by talking about it. Our lives can be better if there isnt war!

You can't blow him up. He just hides. Now, what I think we need to do is drop this 'we will punish' crap, and get people inside. Drop the bombing, it's only there to make good TV.

The only way you will get anything out of it is to get people inside Al-Qaida. Bombing civilians accomplishes nothing.

FLIGHTFX POLICY
1.) We design for reality, not for idealism.
Thus, you will not see virtual cabins on our aircraft. You can not see inside the real thing anyway, unless you are looking into the sun. You will find virtual cockpits but they will not be visible from outside for the same reason.
2.) We design for people with real computers. Thusly, we will not waste polygons on superfluous parts. We will use a texture when there is no noticeable difference between it and a group of performance wasting parts. We will model our aircraft efficiently. If you do not like it, too bad.
3.) We will give you the latest features, but we WILL NOT sacrifice visual accuracy to implement them. Accuracy comes before eye candy.[/font size]

Here's a link with photos of the Pentagon after the crash. You can see that the building actually held up pretty well, all things considered.

This is a little off what your currently talking about but have you guys seen that ad from the Adcouncil about how america has changed. If you haven't here is a link to it on the web: http://www.adcouncil.org/campaigns/campaign_for_freedom/
I think that is one of the best ways to look at this thing after what has happened.

Lazerin,

I really liked the shots, and not -only- because of their tribute factor.

In my opinion, they have really strong composition. You took the shots (or cropped them, which is just as important) with the elemnts really nicely balanced. The focus of attention was always the towers, but that didn't mean they had to be centered -- tricky to pull off, but really great when you can!. I particularly liked the one out the side window of the copter.

Great work. You show here that taking GOOD screenshots is more than just S'ing to an outside view and hitting print-screen.

Very good shots... I have the blue light towers in my version.

I still can't go a week without thinking of that day.......... Amazing what happens when they hit you so close to home.
