Okay, once I can understand, but twice in a row? Here's the scenario:

I'm on approach to LAS, I've turned final and am sliding gracefully down the glideslope, been cleared to land, and an MD-80 just pulls out onto the runway in front of me for takeoff!!! Of course, the tower gives me the "go around" message, but it irked me. Then, on final to SEA, this time following a 737 five miles in front of me. I'd been cleared to land #2 behind the 737, and once he touches down, he's told to switch to ground, and taxi. He doesn't. He just toodles down the runway, looking at all the fine scenery. I'm now 2 miles from touchdown, and tower tells the plane to take the next taxiway. He doesn't. Just as I cross the runway threshhold, I get the "go around" from the tower.

Wah!

I tell you what, that next go-around approach, I turned the AI aircraft down from 65% to 10%. That'll show 'em! :) Man, now if we could only do that in real life. :-lol

Perhaps he requested to take off before you requested to land???

Or maybe he was pissed of by that guy who thinks he is so much smarter just because he happens to be human, not virtual? ;-)
I know I would have increased to full power and slammed into the ******* aircraft before he started the takeoff roll }>

Ouch!

Okay, so I'm just a lowly mortal human being flying in the land of big, bad computers. But that's no reason for them to cut me off! :-lol

It's possible that the MD-80 had asked for clearance before I did, and also quite possible that the tower GAVE it to him, but then when tower says "go," you GO! Otherwise, someone may fly up your backside with a 737. :)

Still trying to fly with 65% ATC on a regular basis...

I got that twice yesterday, once at Atlanta and once at Orlando and I was flying the 747-400. It almost happened a second time at Orlando but the controller made the guy in front of me go around and he was first, go figure. Maybe I sweet talked that female controller on my first go around.

I've seen it from the ground too. I've been in a long line at some of the busy airports(in line for the active, that is).
Invariably, one of the goof balls will not pull up as the next aircraft is cleared onto the runway. I've found that if you magnify your clock time by 8 or so, eventually all the aircraft will disappear. Then you can taxi up to the active and ask for clearance. (at the accelerated time rate, hopefully you haven't burned up too much fuel sitting on the tarmac)

In FS98 I ran out of gas after 5 mins of 128x in a learjet lol.
