Is any one in here using a Seagate Cheetah 15000 RPM hard drive or any other 10000+ RPM hard drive? What kind of load times are you getting in FS2002? I have got one of the fastest transfer rate IDE hard drives and it takes quite a while to load even thought I have the cache up to 1gb. Any suggestions on how to decreast load times with out lowering the sliders.

edit: I deleted my original post as I was thickheaded and dumb to realize you're referring to a SCSI HD and NOT an IDE drive which I recently wrote about.

Sorry about that...I don't use SCSI drives so I'm not familiar with any tweaks out there...

But, to clear misunderstandings some people might have about RPM, RPM's on a hard drive affect seek times. Not transfer times. DMA affects the transfer times. For example, I think your hard drive has around a 5.5 ms seek time. which means that it takes that long to "find" the file on average. If you have an U160 drive/SCSI card, 160 mb/s is the maximum transfer rate. Likewise, a U320 is 320 mb/s transfer rate.
