Reading the posts on that forum it seems that some of the people are narrow-minded when it comes to not getting what they want right away. Especially that Bobdodge guy. More people are logging on to the site which makes it harder to loggin.

In my mind, it's just like flying Standby...nothing wrong with it, but you can't board the aircraft expecting first-class treatment on a very full flight.

I'll throw in my 2 cents (actually, 3,000 cents ;) Lots of sites out there for downloading FS files. $30- for the benefits of "First Class" membership on flightsim.com was a bargain.

I think whats most important for people to realize is, they are not trying to make a quick buck, nor are they asking the $30 to make themselves rich...I doubt they could make alot of money off it. Over the past 4-5 years...I think it has been that long, for as long as I have been using the site, it has become more comprehensive, alot of info, and mostly the amount of users grew by alot...probably a huge percentage jump. Well, all this space required to hold files, keep the articles/reviews, and membership information, after a while, it costs serious $$$. I have had little problem looging on to the site without the 1st class membership until last summer. So this past Dec, I decided to pay it up. Not so much so I could get in easier, but so I can show my support financially and physically for Flightsim.com. It is a free site, and thousands of people are trying to get on every hour. Not everyone can be on at once, and as soon a winter break is over for all the younger types, logging on will be a bit easier. But personally, I will pay my $30 until I loose interest in simming....and I may never do that.
