I'll certainly leave this one up, as it is proof of what I have been saying all along.
NO ONE, BUT NO ONE IN FS HAS THE TRAFFIC THIS SITE HAS, NO ONE EVEN COMES CLOSE!
Regards and happy new year,

I agree it is a great site. It would be even better if we could get in to it.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-31-01 AT 03:48PM (EDT)[p]Just think if painters charged $5 for every livery downloaded and gave 50% to Flightsim.com for consignment fees. Hmmm?
I'd even get my paint brushes out of storage.

Reading the posts on that forum it seems that some of the people are narrow-minded when it comes to not getting what they want right away. Especially that Bobdodge guy. More people are logging on to the site which makes it harder to loggin.

In my mind, it's just like flying Standby...nothing wrong with it, but you can't board the aircraft expecting first-class treatment on a very full flight.
Some words of wisdom my mother would brow-beat me with growing up, "Beggars can't be choosy".

I know man, than Bobdodge guy is pissing me off.
Probaly his parents give him wahaever he won't right away, and so he is like that.
I wonder what kind of person hi will be after 7 years, when he becomes 17 :-lol

I mean 20, not 17

Hey I thought it was a busy node thing that kept me out until I actually read that busy node page. Now I just click Refresh on that page and click Enter for the Resend command on that page. It's all good now. Sorry I was about to send evil threating emails accusing you of cutting down the free access nodes. Oh and sorry about you car tires......never mind :)
Happy New Year All and

Hey! I paid my $30 and it is worth every last cent, and I will pay it again next year. Thanks Lou and Nels for offering the site, and I am glad I could help support it to keep it up and running for years to come! Happy New Year!

Best $30 I've spent in a while, period . . . (well, I guess three periods)

PEOPLE DO NOT YOU GET IT! GONNA BUMP IT AGAIN. SOME IDIOTS ARE STILL SAYING "THEY ARE TRYING TO GET PEOPLE SIGN UP"

I'll throw in my 2 cents (actually, 3,000 cents ;) Lots of sites out there for downloading FS files. $30- for the benefits of "First Class" membership on flightsim.com was a bargain.

I think whats most important for people to realize is, they are not trying to make a quick buck, nor are they asking the $30 to make themselves rich...I doubt they could make alot of money off it. Over the past 4-5 years...I think it has been that long, for as long as I have been using the site, it has become more comprehensive, alot of info, and mostly the amount of users grew by alot...probably a huge percentage jump. Well, all this space required to hold files, keep the articles/reviews, and membership information, after a while, it costs serious $$$. I have had little problem looging on to the site without the 1st class membership until last summer. So this past Dec, I decided to pay it up. Not so much so I could get in easier, but so I can show my support financially and physically for Flightsim.com. It is a free site, and thousands of people are trying to get on every hour. Not everyone can be on at once, and as soon a winter break is over for all the younger types, logging on will be a bit easier. But personally, I will pay my $30 until I loose interest in simming....and I may never do that.
