User keys

Would it be possible for Flightsim.com to give everyone their own user key (eg.http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?12Abc3de=main/forum.htm) when they sign up? At the minute it changes with every logon. I find this very annoying because if you want to carry on downloading a file with a d/l manager - if you've logged out - you have to go through all of the file search stuff again. Would this be possible?

Its a good idea, but with one flaw...

If someone (not a member) typed in a random user key, they could get in to FlightSim.Com, commit all sorts of crimes }> and get the "offical" user banned...
Whereas, with the user keys being only valid for one session, it is much, much harder (or at least I think it would be :-) )
to do this.
