Albequerque - If it's not live it's Microsoft

One of the most breathtaking places I have been in the near past is Albequerque (though when you consider that I have lived in Florida all my life you see I am not easy to impress :)). So, I decided to check the ABQ area on MSFS to see if 2K2 steps up to the plate.

You decide:

I have two others I would have liked to compare but realized the pictures aren't scanned so I'll have to leave them for another time :).

If you do a search for scenery for Albuquerque (note the spelling) you may find some interesting things that make it much better than the default.

That's the first time I've seen a posts where someone compared the originals to FS shots. Interesting :-)

Glad to hear that you are impressed with the view out here in ABQ. I have lived out in the Southwest since the late 70s and yes it is pretty impressive with all the open spaces. You know one thing I miss from back east, "The Trees".

I actually landed in the Sunport and drove to Santa Fe for a conference. I was very impressed, indeed. Let's put it this way, if it wasn't for the fact that NM requires me to take the bar exam again I'd move out to Santa Fe in a heartbeat :).

There's more where that came from....I just need to find my CD with all my pictures and figure out which ones are worth comparing (for example, while Omaha looks excellent compared to prvious incarnations of FS it's just not worth comparing to the real thing).
