Yes, I know no one likes "night" shots...but these have a slightly different look. After adding the FSW night textures (white city) that I downloaded here, my night shots are coming out a little different.

For once I can actually see the plane.

Excellent Jeff. From what i've seen it appears difficult to achieve a nightime shot that looks anything other than a Blackout with a few lights on it, but this is nice. The problem is it looks fine when you're in the game but simply doesn't transfer to a screenie IMHO.
I like the cockpit reflection in the first shot esp. O'Hare looks better at night than during the day i think.

Good work as always.

Top marks for being quick enough to grab the reflections of your strobes on the paintwork! :)

Jeff,
Really good looking pictures as always.

I had been holding out from downloading those "white light" updates, but it looks like they work pretty good! Which pack did you use? I think I remember seeing several different "white light" updates on flightsim.com

John,

I used the Fs 2002 replacement generic night texture v1.0, including nights roads. By FSW GROUP, Oren Cohen, Akio Tsukuma, Michael P Toussain. Created by Chris Willis. Visit the Web Site http://www.simflight.com/fsw

There are white and yellow light textures, I used the white version. Just make sure to follow the directions and backup your originals if you end up not liking them. I will probably try the yellow ones too. It does not change the lighting of the airport area, I think there are separate files for that somewhere.

Oh well thanks for the feedback!

Bob,
Thanks once again. I was amazed at the lights the airport had and was beginning to believe they were adding enough light for the picture, so I snapped a few. I did add two clicks of added contrast, which helped some, but is not the dramatic change that made the picture. Just sharpened things up a 'tad'.
