F16wannabe1,
Don't count yourself short. These are some excellent screenshots! I'll admit, I don't post on each image that I enjoy and believe me - I really enjoy lots of them.

Top notch screenshots, don't let anyone fool you. The baron is definately a lady worth watching.

I agree, fine shots indeed! The Baron 58 is my favorite general aviation aircraft...gorgeous plane!

F16wannabe1,

I for one think your shots are just great... This set is really pleasing to look at, and I always stop at your posts, even when I am just "rushing" by the forum (too many shots, to little time... :-roll) So, yes, at least someone likes your shots! :-wave

As for comments, well, I think each and every shot uploaded here deserves at least a few, and usually a great many, "wow, they're great" replies... But with the way this forum is evolving (getting better every day, isn't it?) there are just too many great posts to reply to! :-eek Not too many to look at, quite the contrary, and not so many that "the competition" is too high ( what competition, anyway?! the more, and the more beautiful, the merrier!). There just isn't enough time, if you want to do some flying as well... ;-) Now, I don't think this got out the way it was supposed, but I guess what I wanted to say is this: For each reply you get, there are a whole lot of people going "Wow! :-eek" without ever telling you... ;-)

Keep shooting, and keep posting, and bring us some more of your great shots! :-)

Best,
/Björn

F16,

B I N G O!!!

Absolutely gorgeous shots! Every-one…
Excellent job… Really…

Oh my gosh! I Love the Mountains in the first shot… I sat with that one a spell before scrolling on…

Sometimes, I just really have to bite my tongue and refrain from speaking as “art critic” (offering “Critique,” not “criticizing” in the pejorative sense).
I’m biting my tongue right now… can you tell? ;-)

I could tell you a number of reasons why that first shot particularly “works” so well …
In a word – aside from being a well “shot” Baron and the lovely natural environment – you allowed it to be conventional.
There’s absolutely nothing forced or in any-way coerced in this shot…
You’ve allowed the scenery and the aircraft to do ALL the work, and they have carried it to a “T;” down to the diminished lighting on the Baron’s profile which nicely passes as mountain shadow… etc.
It meets my criteria for a certain level of “perfectionism.”

Outstanding guy!

Keep up the great effort – which usually do make the shots seem “effortless,” when viewed after-the-fact…

Best regards!

Tia

PS. Nicely re-sized, too (IMHO): as with mine, I think it creates a sense of thumbing through a stack of glossies … ;-)

F16,

LoL :-lol

That’s a bit humorous for so many reasons …

As almost always, I look at someone’s shots and offer any comments I feel moved to – Before I read what anyone else has said… That way, I’m always sure that no-matter what, the author is at-least getting my real take without anything encroaching on my initial impressions…

So – that said, and having come back through reading all the responses after posting mine – I see what you said in this first (*bump*) response…
LoL :-lol

F16 … My gosh … You’re not as Bad as me, either!
You’re not me, and thank heavens…
If everyone were like me I swear I’d commit suicide.
If someone else were like me – I’d have to move.

It’s enough to do-and offer your best or those shots that make you happiest – and doing that – hell yes, you are too every bit as “good as ‘TIA.’”
Bank on it.
&nd doing that, everyone will love your shots or need a retinal scan …
Björn, as usual, has done a super job describing the general milieu here – it’s always been tough commenting on all the posts and shots one wishes to (for me, at least – just Not enough time!) – and lately, dang! It’s pretty much just plain not-possible at-all.

I try for all I’m worth to comment on as many as possible – just, inevitably, some slip by a day, two, three – or even completely, being lost in the ever steady forward march of the calendar and ever new posts…

I DO know how you feel though, I think … Because I get that way myself often enough.
I’ll post some shots and not get any, or one or two responses and start thinking… “Hmmm – wonder if these shots suck?” :-lol
Then start looking at them all over again in new and different ways trying to see what’s wrong with them.
It’s just an illusion.
If you’ll keep telling yourself that – I’ll promise to, also … ;-)

Your shots are superb.
Almost from Jump-Street here, your shots stood at the level of being among the best of the best …
The truth is – they’ll just keep getting better, too…
You will keep posting them, or we’ll have to take time off, come track you down and lay the smack down on ya! ;-)
..&nd as you do, the more you post, the better your shots become – it may happen you’ll get fewer and fewer responses on the whole.
It’s an irony… a sort of appreciable one really.
Anyway – please don’t take it in a wrong way – as Björn’s so-aptly said – it’s not the author or artist – it’s the friggin’ clock & calendar… ;-) (Sorry, Björn – I’m paraphrasing..!) ;-)

These are Outstanding SS’s F16 – don’t think anything other for a second…

I’ve enjoyed them immensely – and, shoot – I’m still enjoying them! :-)

Keep ‘em comin’!

Best regards, always -

Tia

PS. “Tia’s” a she … but I’ve been told “that’s all right…" ;-)

Anytime I can, F16 … ;-)
My pleasure…

“Yeah i also really liked the first screenshot.”

I can’t see how anyone could not like that one… It’s just superb in every respect.

“Im afraid i can't write as much as you but thanks for your comments.”

:-lol ..Yeah, I’m a wordy-one, huh? ;-)
You are again most-welcome… Just my opinions, but they’re free…

“You make me want to post more up :-) And yes thanks for the tips.”

Then I have one more reason to be glad I got out’a bed today …
Really, it’s nice hearing and thinking I’ve encouraged someone to pursue something they enjoy and get even more satisfaction from it… &nd so will many.
I’ll enjoy all your shots, I’m sure – especially if done near-as well as these (& I’m completely persuaded they’ll become progressively better…).

“Tips”-shmips… those are nothing – hey, thanks for the great shots! :-)

Looking forward to the next!

Best as always -

- Tia

Jeez! Amazing shots. What've you got your settings on for textures and mesh? What framerates are you getting? I just can't believe it! Keep the shots coming.

Ross,

Yes, i have all the settings turned all the way up. I get about 18 frames per second. I have a 1 1/2 year old 6GB hardrive also. I just ordered a 60GB Maxtor 7200RPM. Hopefully this helps out with the frames and slow loading i got. Thanks for the comments.
