Somewhere over the New Georgia Islands, Greg "Pappy" Boyington and 2 VMF-BSS wingmen run into a flight of Ki-43 Oscars from a near by Japanese Army Airfield and deal with the flight of green Japanese pilots by downing 4 and scattering the rest. Only one chute was seen from the downed Ki-43s. If you look careful in one of the pix, you can see the Japanese pilot bailing out of his stricken craft. Fictional of course.
