Hey, Im curious if anyone is up to making a new scenery. The airport is called Meriden Markham Municipal(KMMK) in Connecticut. I attempted making the airport before but well when I seen how I'd done it once I loaded it up on FS it looked like crap... It a really nice airport, it gets traffic ranging from executive helicopters, to small Cessna's an old Russian Antonov bi-plane. The surrounding scenery really adds to the airport's look.

This is a pic of the north end of the airport. It shows the residential area and the nice lake as well, you can even see the track in the upper right of the photo from my high school.

P.S. Sorry about the blurry pic, its a .jpg so its not to clear but you can still make the stuff out easily.

Here is it for you in a very early stage... don't bother those lines and such, it is in design view, so can't do much about them.

It's also zoomed out a little bit... but the runway is the right length....

It's still in the works... :-)

Nice pics, is that anywhere near Hartford? Isn't Meriden off 91 or 84 or something? I remember seeing signs somewhere off one of the interstates-in fact I can see it in my mind but I can't remember exactly where it's at. Somehow 491 sticks in my mind- but I haven't been to CT since Christmas 2000.

Anyway, I love CT, especially in the summer-I'll bet the autumn is awesome! My favorite highway is definitely the Merrit Parkway, near the New York border. My parents are CT residents but I'm still part of the Garden State, because I've never lived in CT.

Ever been to Tweed airport in New Haven? I flew into there on a US Air beechcraft from Philly over the Jersey shore (on a clear Dec night in 1997- very spectacular).

LAST EDITED ON Jan-02-02 AT 07:19PM (EDT)[p]Hey Psaul it looks amazing so far! I am quite grateful you took the project up! Thanks.

O' and user2 yeah Meriden is right off of 91. And yes, I have flown to Tweed-New Haven before on several occassions in a Cessna 182 (my favorite airport appraoch wise coming in on 20)

P.S. On the main taxiway these is in white bold text saying Meriden Markham with an ornate compass-rose on the right of the text going horizontal<-(spellings probably wrong), and its readible facing west. I'm not sure if you can see it in any of the pics but its there, If you can put that there that'd be pretty cool, you know just to add that special touch.

See that's what I figured, because I see the sign in my head. Thank you for that refresher...

I must say that MS did very well for CT in the sim, especially near BDL. Everything appears to be in the right place.

Hi... I'd always had a dream to make a scenery of an heliport up here in Sweden where i live. But now i know i maybe can! =)

Just some questions...

1. Can i make like an city scenery, where i'll take photos of actual buildings, and then incerting them to A2002, and editing them to an scenery?

2. Will A2002 work woth FS2002PE?

3. Would someone like to make the heliport in my town?. BTW it's already requested from many peoples!. I'll think me and they can make it whitout the city until later =))

Regards from Sweden

Well, Architect 2002 doesn't support custom buildings, so I would advise buying FSDS or FSDS Pro (both by Abacus, aviable at http://www.abacuspub.com). Then it is simple to save them as a "marcro", and load the marcro into Architect 2002. In fact, if you look closley at the picture above of my scenery, you will see a blue dot sort of thing it it. That is a Marcro, and the Marcro is a NDB tower, because the purple dot is an NDB.

>2. Will A2002 work woth FS2002PE?

Yes it works fine, I've made many basic sceneries for myself!

You know I downloaded project Hudson for 2000, and this had been attempted- problem was is that those textures were showing up black and white. So I'm pretty sure it can be done...
