Ar far as the settings go:
I have full screen on 1024x768x32,in the scenery everthing is maxed out except vis is set to 100 miles and in the aircraft menu everthing on or full except Aircraft cast shadows to off ( I dont care to much for shadows plus it puts a load on the FPS.in the Hardware:tri linear filtering on,mip mapping off( puts trees in boxes for me) And 18 FPS locked .Now as far as how it runs I get no lower than 16 FPS.It's nice to fly smooth with such great detail as well.Hope this helps .Let me know Serge

I've got a P4 2.0 GHz
256 RDRAM
64mb Nvidia GeForce2 MX400
40gb HD

i'm getting the kind of same performance as you although slightly worse frame rates gotta mess with the settings a bit averaging about 16 fps but sometimes dropping to about 5!!!
Although over New York with all scenery settings maxed and anti-aliasing and tri-linear on, also mipp mapping I've got like 16fps and its smooth

the monthly screenshot contest they have on flightsim.com. go down about 3/4 of the way on the right side under starting week of december 2. you'll see a link that says screenshot contest winners. from there it should guide you to where you need to go.
