I read a lot of posts here about all the grief everyone seems to have with this program. My wife, at the urging of my son who is a flying fool, gave me CFS3 for Christmas. I didn't get to load it up until yesterday morning, but finally did so, although with a great deal of trepidition. I had no installing or configuring, loading or running the game.
My computer has an Asus P4B-266C mobo, Intel 1.6 MHz P4 CPU, 512 MB Cas2 RAM, SB Live Value! sound, Gainward GF4 Ti4200 64 MB video with drivers just from the CD, Win98 SE, Saitek X36F stick & X35T throttle, and CH pedals. It loaded right up, flys great, good visuals, etc. Subdued colors, but on the deck appropriate shades of green are present. Flak is good (it took me out today). Maybe I'm lucky, but I think MS did another good job here. I had none of the problems I've read about in this forum over the past period of time. Bravo MS!
Keep the oily side down. Jack
