Rank and ground offensive

Ok, so im currently playing the german campaign and i was wondering a few things,

1. I'm currently a hauptman(or something like that), and i would like to know what is the equivalent in english
2. When is the best time to launch a ground offensive?
3.I'v also bombed a few things in London like Big Ben, tower bridge, and the big power plant. Other than giving you a lot of prestige points, is it worth it to risk getting shot down over London for those landmarks?
4. Is there a way to bring a map up when your flying?

Hello there.


1) I don't know.

2) The best time to launch a ground offensive is when your 2 meters on the right of the map screen (One should be a tank, and the other a barrell) are full up green. That means your reserves and other stuff is full and ready to go.

3) Prestige is important, as it will give you the ability to launch ground offensives quicker. Howevever, I personally find it better to attack the war making machine and other things better. Such as bridges, tanks, fuel dumps, factories, dug in troops and stuff like that. But that is a personal thing.

4) I am not sure, I have a tendancy to use the radar on the upper left, never tried to pull a map up in flight, but I am sure there is a way...I will try to look it up and let ya know. The other option is to go on the help option within the game and see if that is an option.

There is a mod around the CFS3 Misc. download area that lets you bring up a map while flying, but it does not display your position on the map.
