Lag Problems and some tips & tricks

Just stopping by around here... anyone have some of those magical framerate-improving tricks that seem to just materialize out of thin air? I've got a P4 1.8ghz, 256meg RAM, GeForce3 and I've always run my games at medium if not high graphics and got excellent frame rates, but in CFS3 I'm starting to believe that I need to sell my soul to be able to get at least a constant 20FPS.

Also... I haven't needed to use gunners on my bombers yet since a 57mm round from my Mossie XVIII will take out anyone, but I'm just wondering if the gunners on the other bombers will automatically shoot at anything that looks ugly, or is there some special trick to keep the sun from exploding and all hell coming loose if I leave the pilot's position during flight.

And... during the campaign, is it normal for Germany to start an unstoppable invasion of England during june'43 or is it just because I suck at tactical stuff?

If you play as Germany, the game is ridiculously easy.

If you play as Britain or America, it ##### near impossible.

Either way, you MUST, I repeat, MUST use your first 265,967,211 missions to sink enemy ships.

After every 20 anti-shipping missions, you can do a fighter sweep, then after that, Land. Start new mission. Sink ships. Land. Start new mission. Sink ships.
