I've made some negative posts here and don't want to look like I'm COMPLETELY trashing on CFS3, it IS a cool game - I'm not about to return it...

Just take the system requirements and quintuple them and it'll run pretty good, but you'll still be running the graphics options pretty darn low if you want it to be smooth.

And don't even think of comparing their little "preview video" to the game, I don't know where they got that footage, but it sure wasn't from CFS3.... most of it is very obviously not from the game, but there's a couple little segments that they're obviously trying to pass off as "actual" footage, and it is not not not...

I've registered just today and proceeded to say some direct things to the negative about CFS3. It does have it's quirks, it does have it's problems.

Microsoft needs to address the issues, but sadly, it appears that patches will be business desisions, not those based on quality and functionality. If MS keeps getting shelled by pissed off gamers, and the sales numbers don't grow, we'll see no patches. They'll likely wash thier hands of it, write it off, and walk away leaving 3rd party developers to pick up the pieces. If MS takes that approach, how the entire CFS community reacts to that will remain to be seen. They too might shy away. Let's just hope not.

The game is VERY playable, and frankly, pretty fun. But it's not a sim, as it's namesake and heritage suggests. I'll be keeping my copy to see if it's gets fixed enough to allow some forward-moving inovations thru 3rd party mods.
