This is my system
Asus A7V motherboard running Duron 1ghz
496 meg ram
Soundblaster Live Value Sound Card
GE Force 2 Ti 64 meg card

The game runs fine until wham computer crashes. I get black screen with sound coming out of speakers like a screaming banshee or the graphics go all weird like if you try to run at to high resoultion that your card can't handle and computer locks up again.

This is while running in Win ME. I'm about to try in XP to see what happens. I use ME cos I have an MS Force Feedback J/Stick and the software to calibrate buttons doesn't work in XP. BTW with the force feedback, all goes fine until I fire the guns. The feedback still jitters away even when I'm not firing.

It sounds like a sound card problem. I've tried updating the drivers on both sound and graphics cards and the bios for the motherboard.

Any ideas? I don't get this type of problem with any other games.

Well I tried it in XP and same problem. I have done everything on the trouble shooting page that comes up. I've updated everything, tweeked everything. It's bizarre. I noticed on one occasion that as soon as i touched a button on the joystick the screen went black and locked up. It happens sporadically. I can sometimes get through 2 missions but that is about the limit. I disabled the sound card. I'm thinking it is either a joystick or sound card problem?? Perhaps it is a problem through the game port?

Is anyone else having this trouble?

I think I may have it sorted (fingers crossed). I changed up to 32 bit and played solid for about 2 hours with no crashes. Here's hoping it's ok. Just didn't seem to like running in 16 bit.
