I just got CFS3 and I'm extremely disappointed. For the first time of all the Microsoft flight sims, the video is absolutely useless. I don't have the usual frame rate problems I see on this forum, I just have BLUE video, like this screen shot:

This isn't normal.

Athlon XP 1700+
512MB DDR2100 RAM
3x 2GB UW SCSI
Windows 2000 SP3
GF2 Ti 64MB RAM
30.82 drivers

Any ideas?

Cheers!

Luke

Hmmmm.....

I would consider upgrading your video card....And you are right, that is not normal....Did you see if there are compatibility issues with Win2k?

Does anybody else have a blue screen? I don't.

I wonder if the MS insider website might have a solution. Some cards (somer GeForce3's for instance) were marked as not supported by the CFS3 configuration utility, there was a workaround where you could trick the utility by editing the text, to get it to accept these cards. I don't know the details, but there were forum messages on the subject.

As last resort, MS will take any purchase back within 30 days (search the forum for details) in case your local computer store won't.

Good luck.
