Error with MakeMDL

HOW DO I FIX THIS???? My model is about 34,400 Polies. HELP!!!

What I generally do is select everything, add an edit mesh modifier, select all the vertecies, set weld threshold to .001m, and weld...then collapse.

Be aware this will collapse all the modifiers applied to every part, but in that stage of a model it's rarely an issue.
