Can't help you with the .air file (I'd love to get a similar one for the Trek universe stuff I'd like to develop), but I just have to say I love that model!

You are working on the X-301, right?

Another Goa'uld (FYI, the spelling is from the official SG-1 website) design I'd love to see is one we only saw in a single episode (I forget which one), but it was specifically designed for gate travel. Bra'tac and Gen. Hammond flew the thing, if I recall correctly...

Maybe, when you're done with these, you could help me with the Trek designs. I've got the four (type 9 from Voyager, type 11 from Insurrection, Danuble-class runabout from DS9, and Delta Flyer) as Lightwave files, but I can't seem to get them to convert correctly...

Look at how others did the AV-8B Harrier to do VTOL. I think they used thrust deflection using the flaps.

Then look at how several people did their SR-71 'Blackbird' for M3.2 and FL100 (max in FS). 2666 KTAS is a limit but some claim faster.

I was tinkering with designing a superman model and was looking for a similar air file.

I ended up with the harrier VTOL approach, but the transition from flight to hover was too tricky to fly. The Harrier model I had could not really vertically take off like a chopper, instead being short take off.

Still looking...

Thanks gang. I actually did a couple of days of test flying and tweaking and I found a really good combination of equations to get her to fly the way I wanted. I did get 100,000 feet altitude cruise, and I also got Mach 4.64, which is far more then I thought possible. I was able to get a mixture of spoilers, landing gear drag, and flap lift to do a combination of things which almost make if Vertical takeoff, but she needs to do perhaps 10 knots to jump upwards. Learning directed thrust would probably repair the need for forward motion of any sort, but she will hover now like an apache attack helicopter. Quite fun to fly. It is the airfile in the bird I released called the Stargate Death Glider Heru, Glider number 2. If you need an airfile that does that, its free to use, except please mention it came out of the Stargate Death Glider by me. Thanks for all your help.

I have just completed a Egyptian Gowhool Death Glider for FS2004/2002. My problem is that I need an airfile that allows the plane to smoothly hover for landing and yet allow for a smooth 1000 KIAS airspeed and a cieling of around 90,000 feet, if that is possible. I have been experimenting with some, but not doing so well.

I intend to launch this on several websites in the very near future and your name would be accredited to this plane per the air.file, which if this bird is successful, it should indeed present you with good public standing and a successful track record.

There are approximately 3 more versions to come out of this aircraft. This is the plane from the original movie and first few episodes of Stargate and Stargate SG1.

Please let me know if you are interested or know of a good airfile.
