Foreground Color?

I am doing a repaint of the Default Beech King Air 350. What I am doing right now, is zooming in as much as I can and editing the livery pixel by pixel, to remove the black and yellow stripes. I wanted to paint the part where it is painted all back, blue, but whenever I try to do so, I get an error talking about something related to foreground. And I am not being able to reapint the blue over the default black, what do I do?

What paint program are you using?

I normally will get that when I try to choose paint and have not chosen a foreground color, but have the background color set to, for example, blue. In essence, I'm trying to use the paintbrush with no color....
