I have a F-18 that I would like to use for aircraft carrier operations.
Problem is, if I don't make a perfect landing the landing gear collapse and I have a plane that is laying on it's side or nose because the landing gear failed.
Is there a way to make the landing gear stronger in the aircraft cfg. file to withstand these rough landings?
I have other planes that do just great on rough landings!
Thanks, Kloyce

Check the landing gear descent rates in the &l;contact points&r; section of the aircraft.cfg file.

&l;contact_points&r;
point.0=1, 40.00, 0.00, -8.40, 1181.1, 0, 1.442, 55.92, 0.6, 2.5, 0.9, 4.0, 4.0, 0, 220.0, 250.0
point.1=1, -7.75, -8.58, -8.60, 1574.8, 1, 1.442, 0.00, 1.0, 2.5, 0.9, 6.9, 6.9, 2, 220.0, 250.0
point.2=1, -7.75, 8.58, -8.60, 1574.8, 2, 1.442, 0.00, 1.0, 2.5, 0.9, 7.1, 7.1, 3, 220.0, 250.0

Notice the fifth entry in the lines above, i.e., 1181.1, 1574.8 feet per minute (fpm)
