View Full Version : Graphics technique / tool suggestion for 2d-3d circle conversions..

I am doing a simple repaint of the default Baron 58. On the tail, I am placing a logo... a white ring with the letters VA in it. When I bring it into the sim, the shape of the tail distorts the ring enough so that it looks sloppy. (See attachment.) What is the technique / tool / program for painting the circle on the 2d skin such that it will appear as a circle on the 3d model? My current paint tools are PSP7 & 8.

It's not you - it's the model's geometry and mapping.
Apparently you'll have to create a multipoint vector "circle and adjust the points until you "get it" right.

Oh man.. I was hoping that was not going to be it. :) Time to get to work and just do it. Thanks for the pointer.
