I did some experiments today trying to get polished and chrome textures to look like they did in 2002.
By using a RGB value of 100,100,100 as a base color and 100,100,100 also for the alpha I got a very nice high polish on my 140 that looks quite like it did in 2002. the polish is even deeper if you use pure black as the base with the same as the alpha and it starts looking like the T-1000 from Terminator 2. this works nice for spinners.
