Hi there!

I am thinking of releasing a model update for the Ta-183 I released; creating a dynamic virtual cockpit.

My question is:

What are the names for parts inside the VC to be moved (i.e. rudder pedals, stick, throttle quadrant) and how do I set keyframes to make them move?

BTW, Im using GMAX 1.2

There is a list of all the variables over at Freeflight - www.freeflightdesign.com

While the list at Freeflight Design is helpful - it was really created before the MakemdlSDK came out. You really need Microsoft's SDKs

For most of the in-cockpit levers, sticks, etc., you're looking at the lever_stick combinations.

Check the Freeflight Tutorials and Tips Sections for additional help files

Hello, Ridge,
Just a followup to the excellent suggestions already made: VCs use the same animations that are visible from the exterior view. That is, if your model already has animated features, anything carried over into the VC will be likewise animated.
It's the operating gauges that require extra care. As Felix notes, there are Tips and Tutorials at freeflightdesign.com that help a lot.
Regards.

Thanks guys.

I will be sure to check out freeflight again. Really the only animations on the current model are gear, nosewheel, canopy, and control surfaces...

Thanks again!
