Is my video card dying?

I have FS9 profiles set up for my 6800XT.

I have it set to 4x aa and 16x af. It has been working fine, until the last few days

As soon as I run FS9.exe it seems like the profile won't take...

well, it will, but the second I change to a different aircraft the AA and AF goes away.

This is for FS9 and FSX....and I'm guessing the rest (of my games) wouldnt work either

It's quite strange actually. I can however, use a global profile and force the AA and AF and then it works fine.

Maybe something happened with the registry etc??

Or my card just crappin out?

I'd be very, very surprised of the problem you are seeing turns out to be a video card problem. The fact that you can use a global profile OK seems to indicate there is something wrong with the FS9/FSX profiles. Have you tried re-creating them?
Have you tried re-installing the driver?

Yeah I tried recreating them....

wait, hmm, I guess I tried resetting the AA and AF, but I didn't try deleting them then setting the shortcut for fsx.exe and fs9.exe - I'll try that

oh, one more thing, doesn't it seem strange that it will startup with the AA on, but as soon as I switch to a different aircraft, the effects go away?
