When viewing any video file in WMP 10 the colors are very strange. Would this be a video problem? The video card is a GeForce 5500 from BGF I think. (AGP). Example, all greens in flightsim are bright opaque yellows and ground textures are bright solid red...lemme try to geta pic:
nevermind, wont lemme take a screenie. anyway. even real life videos are all messed up too with colors.

Reinstalled WMP10 - no joy
Updated video drivers to latest - no joy
Tried .wmv file with RealPlayer - no joy, same color problem.
Adjusted LCD monitor settings (Samsung 712N) - no joy
Checking on MS's help and support site - finding nothing
I swear I don't remember seeing this problem when parents first bought PC. Oh, also in my first post I meant while watching videos the greens are are bright yellows, NOT while playing FS9....everything is fine then.

The problem you describe seems to pop up from time to time.
Back a few months ago I posted this fix and it worked for quite a few people.
- Open the nvidia control panel (right click anywhere on you desktop not occupied by an icon, click Settings, click Advanced, click the GeForce tab).
- Select Colour Correction.
- Select "All" in the "Apply color changes to:" box.
- In the "Color profile:" box, select "Advanced mode".
- Hit "Restore Defaults."
- Click "Apply"
- Click "Save As" to save the color profile.
