ati 4.11 or 5.xxx with ati 9800 which driver works best?

Im now using the 5.4 and i can't really tell if the fps and stutters are working well with these drivers. Compared to the 4.11 i can't really tell the difference but the 4.11 definatly had constant stable fps, it wouldn't jump from 15 down to 7 then back to 13 then 15. But does this really matter has anyone noticed this?

I don´t like 5.2; 5.3 and 5.4 at all. These sets produced a lot of stutters in FS9. But 5.1 worked like a charm in my system. Fps and IQ superb in FS9. So I have them installed.
