My rig wasn't happy with 71.89. Frame rates and IQ both suffered.
BTW the best driver for me right now is XG76.41HD from http://www.tweaksrus.com/

I tried it. What ever it was supposed to do it did not.Went back to 71.84.For me,71.89, reduced overall quality. Subtly, but it did. I keep looking for that "Magic Bullet" driver, which will be able to do all things for all people.Still looking! VIN ;)

Just goes to show that, IMHO, there is no one driver version that is right for everyone. Every rig is different and everyone has his/her own opinion on what constitutes good IQ and what is an acceptable frame rate.
I really like the XG series of tweaked drivers and for me XG76.41HD is where its at right now.
Seeing you like 71.84, have you tried XG71.84HD?

Hi Ricca, For what its worth. I have no stutters, shudders, shakes,or hiccups. With all the drivers. I've been getting good results. The thing that this Tweaks are us ,xg71.84hd did for me was in the area of definition of scenery details, and gave much more vivid coloring. I may have a very slight increase in FRs. My test area is NYC. Like we agree on, were all different, re:sight and equipment. THANX VIN ;-)
Is it coincidently that in this fourm when I throw my 2 cents in there is no more Posting of messages on any subject or problems,or questions? Must be a track record for me.Ron

I tried the drivers, seem about the same as 71.84. Then again, I'm running a 5900XT. Notice most of the changes are for the newer cards.

I had problems with overtemping on 71.41 so went to the TweaksRus XG76 xxxx. This was great except that some older stuff, most notably for me, Freelancer, would not run.
So I cleaned out and loaded the 7new 1.89. At first I thoguht the image a little soft and flat, but went through the NVidia screen cal routines and everything is great again. Best of all the temps are low again. Both indicated and real.
Everything runs OK and no stutters in FS at all.
I had some real issues with these. I loaded them up and when I launched FS I had some pixelation problems that were not there before. I decided to roll way back to the last drivers my card manufacturer recomended and they are old now. But things seem to running better with the older driver and some stuff that was not working started to work with the older driver. Go figure..
