I am just trying to find out what is the best way to back up a file in notebook, so I can place it back later if I don't like the download. Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by "notebook", but one way to backup a file is to simply copy it to a new and more secure location such as a floppy, zip drive or even a cd depending on its size. if you just want to set it aside so that you can try something like updated scenery, just change the default .xxx to something like .xxy. then, if you want to go back to the original, just rename it back to the original designation.
if it's a .cfg file you want to alter, it's the same thing...make it something like xxxxx.cgf or .cfx. I hope I have not made a simple issue sound too complicated.
