Sound Recommendations

Does anyone have any specific recommendations as to what sound card and/or speakers to purchase that really compliment the sounds of FS2004?

nvidia soundstorm sounds pretty good, comes with 6 channel output and dolby, in tests on Tom's Hardware does better than any addon cards (soundblaster etc), my experiences bear this out giving me about 8% more fps than an addon card. I only use the first 4 of the speaker outputs, bu my old cambridge soundworks 4:1 speakers still sound good aswell.

I like soundblaster, some folks here don't like them but they have worked out for me throughout the years. I would recommend an Audigy sound card, do some research on the different flavors and pick one that is closest to your needs.
